Kristine Wylie, PhD

Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Infectious Disease

Wylie earned her BA from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. She then worked on The Human Genome Project as a research technician and laboratory manager before earning her PhD from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in the Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology studying herpes simplex virus infections and host response. Wylie did her postdoctoral work in the field of microbial genomics, with emphasis on characterizing the human virome.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, taking her dogs for walks on trails, watching way too many movies, and traveling.
